Lady Jays rally to beat Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays rallied from a one-goal deficit with 17 minutes left to play to post a 3-2 win over Waynesville on Friday.
Kelsey Sanders tied the game for the Lady Jays with 17 minutes remaining, before the Lady Tigers made it 2-1 a minute later.
Rashonda Stanley tied the game at 2 when she scored a goal on a corner kick by Katie Denning. Molly Cowley scored the game-winner for the Lady Jays (15-4-2), heading in a shot off a free kick by Sanders.
Jefferson City is back in action Monday at Springfield Kickapoo.
In the JV game, Jenna Foster, Kelly Higgins and Kelsey Coffin scored goals as the Lady Jays (13-2-2) blanked Waynesville 3-0. |
