WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays scored three unanswered goals in the second half en route to a 4-1 win over Warrensburg on Thursday.
Kelsey Sanders put the Lady Jays (2-3) on the board in the first half, scoring on a free kick.
Warrensburg tied the game at 1 three minutes into the second half before Jefferson City broke the game open.
Scoring in the second half for the Lady Jays were Taylor Looten, Brittany Stegeman and Kelly Strope. Getting assists for the Lady Jays were Kara Steiner and Hannah Mantle.
Jefferson City, which has scored 10 goals in its last two games after being blanked in its first three, is back in action Tuesday at Moberly.
In the JV game, the Lady Jays blanked Warrensburg 6-0. Scoring for Jefferson City were Sydney Crafton, Kelly Higgins, Hannah Cliburn, Lindsay Clark and Kelsey Coffman. |
