| Friday, Apr 25, 2008 Lady Jays hand Helias a frustrating loss The Helias Lady Crusaders had more opportunities. The Jefferson City Lady Jays took advantage of theirs. The Jefferson City Lady Jays managed just three shots Thursday night against the Helias Lady Crusaders, but scored on two of them in a 2-0 victory at the 179 Soccer Park. It was a frustrating loss for the Lady Crusaders, who came up empty in 13 shots. It was the second win in three district games this week for the Lady Jays (9-7-1), who will play Monday at Rolla. The Lady Jays likely wrapped up at least the No. 2 seed in next month's Class 2 district tournament at Sedalia. The Lady Crusaders (6-7-1) will host Hannibal on Tuesday. In the JV game, the Lady Jays blanked the Lady Crusaders 1-0. |
