Soccer Experience:
*Began playing YMCA in kindergarten. I started playing for the Capitals when I was 10 and then later switched to JC Select. I also played for Carrera.

Soccer Honors:
*Senior Year: MSU team camp All-Star team, Team Captain
*Junior Year: MSU team camp All-Star team, 1st Team All-District, All-Region, Offensive Player of the Year, All-State. Led not only my team but the district in scoring with 14 goals and 10 assists. I was also selected Offensive MVP for my team and hit my 100th career point.
*Sophomore Year: MSU team camp All-Star Team. Had 2 concussions but still selected All-District. I led my team in scoring with 8 goals and 7 assists.
*Freshman Year: DISTRICT CHAMPS! 1st Team All-District, All-Region, Offensive Player of the Year. Led not only my team but the district in scoring with 17 goals and 9 assists.

Other Activities:
Basketball 4 years and team captain this year. I broke the school record for 3 point shooting percentage. The record was 41% and I shot 44%.

Future Plans:
*Attend William Woods University on a soccer scholarship and major in Education. I want to become a teacher and a coach.

Family:
*Barry (Dad) and Binky (Mom), Ashley (sister) and Lindsay (sister). Ashley is married to Travis Holtmeyer and they have two sons. (Bryson and Blake).

* Food: Salad, the one with the little walnuts sprinkeled thoughout.
* Restaurant: Mel's
* Movie: The Notebook.  It makes me cry everytime, and I'm a sensitive person.
* Magazine: Redbook or Women's Day.  Good tips on being a mature woman.
* TV Show: Barnie.
* Hobbies: Playing with my Barbies.
* Pro Athlete: Albert Pujols, because he has huge biceps!
* Dream Job:  Prison guard at the state prison.

Sanders Signs with William Woods

Kelsey Sanders, a senior at Jefferson City High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for William Woods University.  Sanders, a three-year varsity starter for the Lady Jays, was named to the All District team in 2005, 2006, and 2007.  Kelsey received All Region honors in 2005 and 2007.  Kelsey was named to the to the All State team in 2007.  Kelsey was recognized as the Central Region Offensive Player of the Year in 2005 and 2007.  She has been the Lady Jays leading scorer for the past three years.  Sanders will be the team captain for the 2008 season.
